Question:
We are looking to buy a new trailer tent for next season (to replace a long
serving unit based on a 1976 Conway Trailer Tent we have been using for 14
years), having done the normal searching, got brosures etc, we have wittled
options down to the Raclet and Conway ranges, so we set out yesterday to our
two most local centres that claim to be suppliers. (One for Raclet, one for
Conway.) The Raclet supplier had two on show, and the Conway supplier none
We asked the Conway supplier when would they be getting some in on display
and was told that they no longer have display units as they cannot then sell
them on, they seemed a bit suprised when I said I would really perfer to be
able to see what I was purchasing before I spent £3000 on a tent.
Could any one let me know of a centre that stocks a good range of ideally
both Conway or Raclet tents on display that we could crawl all over ?
We are based in Bristol but would be happy to travel a reasonable distance.
Answer:
Just to let folks know we purchased a Raclet Trailer Tent last weekend from
Highbridge Caravan and Camping Centre, primarity opted for raclet as there
was far to much confusion in the air from all the dealers about the status
of conway's current models, in particular whether what you get now is
Cabanon canvas or Marashell canvas.
