Question:
I don't understand the appeal of a pass thru on a camper. I installed
sliding rear window on the truck and a sliding window in the camper.
When I am traveling I can slide both open and have access. Since I have
made this setup I have NEVER used it on the road.
Why would I want a permanent open connection between the two? I mean all
the cold air from the A/C is going to be soaked up by the oven in the
back called a camper.
I'm too big to fit thru the pass thru and besides I'm behind the wheel!
I don't really want my kids crawling thru and running loose in the back
so what is the attraction?
I'm sure this is the same situation as there is no ONE right RV for
everybody but I just don't get it.
Answer:
-I use to have a 10.5' Lance camper on a F250 supercab. We use to fold down
the seat in the supercab and sleep one of the kids there. With the boot in
place she could get to the bathroom during the night.
-The snap on "tunnel" sounds cool. It could be even easier to fabricate
with velcro.
I purchased a blow-up inner tube kind-a affair for about $35. It makes
too much noise and rubs too much to want to leave it in place while
driving. I only use it when children are sleeping in the truck. The rest
of the time I just leave the windows closed but unlatched and use it
store and access things in the truck.
