Odyssey trailer hitch schematic

Question:
Soon going to be wiring up my '00 Ody for a pop up tent trailer. Installing a Borgman receptacle. 1)Does anybody have a electrical schematic of the Ody hitch connection?? I basically want to know what each wire color represents ex. right tail light etc. 2)Also have to install an electric brake modulator below the dashboard. I have located an empty female receptacle, (light blue wire & a black wire both with silver tracers)is this the electric brake connection ? (I will install a 10 ga. direct battery connection

Answer:
-The trailer wiring kit has a box with it. I have no idea what it does. The label for the wires is under the back panel. It would really be a hassle if I remove it. I don't have a manual yet. Somehow I wired the end to those standard 4 wires. If you need to know what those wires mean, go to Walmart and look at the connector. I can't seem to find the extra connector I had left over. I would definitely recommend the kit. -I have exactly this setup in my 00 Ody LX. A hitch was dealer installed using factory parts. The schematic is in the service manuals. According to my Electrical Troubleshooting Manual, Left Turn/Brake Light is a yellow wire, Right Turn/Brake Light is a Green wire, Running Lights are a Brown wire, and Ground(return) is a Black wire. In the left rear side of your Ody is a connector that the hitch wiring kit and converter plugs into. That converter deciphers left turn, right turn, and brake lights. The running lights are directly wired to your headlight switch on the stearing column back to the hitch wire bundle. Your hitch wire bundle exits the body at the bottom center of the chassis and should be taped to the lower center of your hitch. There is enough slack there to install your custom connector. I do not think the two wires you describe below are related to brake control since those wires are always installed as an after market conversion. With my camper wire job, we installed a light blue conductor, no stripe, from the brake control unit to the hitch connector. If you can identify the connector number the wires are in, I can look up what they do. Connectors in Ody's always start with a C, like C402 located below the left end of your dash. It has a 24 pin connector that is colored Light Blue. When you install your 10AWG conductor to battery power, make certain to install an inline fuse holder and 30A max fuse to protect the conductor at it's ampacity. Locate the fuse holder as close to the 12vdc source as possible. I had an independent garage locate and connect my backup wire into my hitch harness too. A local RV dealer installed the brake control and a customized trailer light connector adjacent to my hitch receiver. It also includes 12vdc power to run our camper's refrigerator while on the move. Your brake control module should have come with a schematic. And, if you have an RV dealer sell you a hitch connector, it will come with a schematic too.
