Question:
I have a 88 Sunline 23 ft trailer and on the entrace
door, it is surrounded by an aluminum frame (like all campers),
not the door jamb, the actual door
Well, the bottom part of the frame is gone. It was screwed into
the bottom of the door, which I now found out is rotten. Anyway,
the camper dealers say the piece in unavailable. I either have
to make one or buy a new $200 door.
Anyone have any ideas, are there any rv junkyards around ?
Answer:
-The last time we had that problem I dismantled the door and replaced
the wood frame with oak. As a carpenter I would make a good ditch
digger but this is not rocket science and anyone with a reasonable
collection of tools can do it. The odds of finding a good used door
are long.

-Have you contacted Sunline direct? See their web site at www.sunlinerv.com
and ask the question in the Advisor section. They will either have a part or
can tell you what to do.
