Question:
Since the shoe mavens are here, what should I buy for good walking shoes
for a trip to Spain and Portugal in April? I want something comfortable
but they have to be stylish. My husband bought a pair of black Ecco
casual shoes.
Answer:
-I can't really recommend that you *take* any particular shoes, Audrey, but I
*have* heard that you can/should plan to acquire some while you are there.
Their shoes are not inexpensive, but they are supposed to be fabulous! My
Sendra boots were made in Spain. (You can try to navigate sendra.com but it
is often iffy.) And, iirc, Camper Shoes (they have a website, too) are
from Spain--they are very funky. So take an extra (empty) suitcase or two.
Oh, and ftr, I take a size 35 or 36 in European shoes
-I solved this last year with a pair of bright green & pink Diesel
sneakers. Yes, they were sneakers, but I felt the fashion color
elevated them . I also like my Joseph Seibel zip up oxfords if you
want something more tailored. I'm sure you'll get a lot of great recs.
