Question:
We are currently looking for a light (<3,000 lbs) trailer to pull behind a
1993 Mercury Villager Van. First any good/bad comments on Aerolite,
Flagstaff (Forest River), or Coachmen Catalina Ultra Lites?
Anybody pulling a trailer with a Villager with any good/bad comments?
Answer:
-Where can I obtain the RVConsumers book? We are still in the
looking stage and were considering the Aerolite and Jayco lite
travel trailers.
-Best is in the mind of......well you! But here is a letter I sent out to
someone else a while aga and I just copied into this email for you......
We previously owned a Starcraft tent trailer and wanted more features. We
went to many RV shows but decided to purchase a Trailmanor due to its
small size, low weight and easy towability. They have a tape they can send
you and I did not believe it myself until I had the oportunity to see it
in the "flesh". We headed to Utah where the nearest dealer was located at
that time and bough one. Headed for Bryce Canyon and Zion National park in
mid Deceember and I have to say we made it just fine. The driveability is
great. We paid $#18500.00 for ours. It is a 23/30 model and has air
conditioner.Not very well known out
here on the west Coast then, they are built in Tennesee. It is a folding,
hard
sided, self contained unit. Weight for the model I have is 2600 pounds and
it is 23 feet closed and 30 feet opened. Opens in less time than it takes
to level it! About 4 minutes. We have put more than 21000 miles on it in 3
years having taken several trips in excess of 3000 miles. No wind
resistance makes it simple to tow at freeway speeds as well. I did tow
with a Mazda MPV and now a Ford van. The Mazda had no problem towing with
the overdrive off. I do not work
for or represent Trailmanor in any way. I believe that they have not
gotton the credit that they deserve and I feel that I should support a
product I believe in. I will email you more info about our experiences
etc. if you wish. Their address is Trailmanor, p.o. Box 130 S, Lake City,
