Travel Trailer awnings

Question:
I was wondering if those of you who have travel trailers or pop-ups with awnings remove them before highway travel? Mine seems very secure but it will flap a little at highway speeds

Answer:
-Hi...we have a tent trailer with a awning in a bag...we never take it off (not even in winter). It has four straps that snap to the side of the trailer to tie it down. It does lift slightly at highway speeds, but does not cause any trouble, and the awning itself is still in prime shape, and its three years old. -I have a Coleman Keywest, 12 feet long box, with a hand role-up awning of the same length. It roles up into canvas, zippered container. I've noticed no problems to date.
