Boat trailer & camping trailer both behind 1 veh

Question:
Boat trailer & camping trailer both behind 1 veh I have to agree with Will! a 70 foot long rig is an accident just waiting to happen! You may be an expert welder & driver but you must not be too bright.

Answer:
-we see this quite a bit here in Texas. Our length limit is 80 feet. From the description of your set up, you've been doing this awhile but you should know better than to put the word "challenge" in your post. I see Will jumped right on it with both feet. Keep on truckin' and watch out for that broken down bus load of Girl Scouts around the bend. -Do you have any brakes on the boat trailer? If you do, are they hydraulic or electric? If you run electric brakes, how is the trailer brake controller set up? Also how do you keep track of what the boat is doing behind the fifth wheel? I'm going to be running this type of setup, but not as large, and still try and be around 80% of my towing capacity. I believe my total length will be about 64' and about 7,000 lb loaded. My truck is a 96 GMC 4x4 with a 454 and 4.10 gears. Most of the terrain I run on is small hills and generally flat. Any feedback or insight would be appreciated. And yes Will, I have heard your arguments, and agree with most of your points of views. However in Alberta, this is common practice.
