Question:
Anyone have experience or information on the Dutchman pop-up campers.
Pls give me any info.
Answer:
My dad has had a couple of Dutchmen camping trailers but never a pop
up. When we were looking at popups a couple of years ago, I was
amazed at how many different brands of them that there are. I would
suggest you look for these feature in one.
Cable drawn cranking system
Undercoated wheel wells
Anti Sway stabilizing axel
Sealed wheel bearings
Vinyl Clad Canvas
Solid flooring
When we bought ours, the first thing I did was wash the tongue area
completely and then repainted it with black rustoleum. I also crawled
underneath of the thing and applied a serious amount of undercoating
spray to all exposed enamel painted parts. The factory enamel paint
that everyone uses is fair to poor in rust protection. I also keep
mine under a tarp in the winter and I wash and wax the whole thing a
couple of times during the summer. It's going on 3 years old and
looks brand new..., I bought a Palomino, Filly Model.
