Question:
We are planning to get a pop-up tent trailer, and have been looking at
Coleman, Palomino, and Jayco models. Will people who have used these
brands please tell us what they think of them. We are in the
preliminary stages right now, but really need some feedback on quality
comparisons. We would also be very much interested in comments on
other brands.
Answer:
Only had one pop-up. It was a 1984 Coleman. A great camper with
Evolution 3, which is great stuff. Be sure to get it if you get a coleman-
I assume they still use this stuff. Also, the lift system was strong, not whimpy
as seen on most other pop-ups. As fars as the other two pop-ups go, Jayco
makes a pretty good line of trailers and would probably be OK - but not as good
as Coleman. Don't think I would buy a Palomino - looked at these a couple
of years ago while looking at fifth wheels and was not impressed at all.
