Question:
Does anyone have any information on a Flagstaff pop up camper. I am
unfamiliar with this model/brand of camper and am looking for any
information I can find.
Answer:
-We recently purchased a '99 Flagstaff 825D. It is a "Dinette
in a Drawer" model, with the sofa but not the shower/potty.
There is not a lot on the web for this model, other than a
couple dealers posting the floor plans and some other info
from the brochure. But you can get all that in a brochure
from a dealer.
As someone else noted, this brand is now made by the same maker
as Rockwoods (Forest River). This is true for only the past
couple years though, so if you hear from owners of older ones,
it might not be the same. On the other hand, it might be just
a matter of who owns the same manufacturing facility. We only saw
a couple Rockwoods, so is hard for us to compare, but from that
limited sample, I would say that the quality is similar between
the two. The floor plans were identical as well. (But then
our floor plan wasn't totally the same as the brochure either.)
So far we are pretty pleased with it. We did have some
mis-communication with the dealer about whether we had order
the hot water option or not, but they are working with us to
clear that up. We also have a few minor things that the dealer
will fix when we take it in to get the hot water installed.
Feel free to send email with any specific questions.
-We have a 99 Flagstaff 625D and just love it. We have only had it for
a month. But, we have been out on three trips already. We have the
slide out dinette and the cassette potti/shower combi. We also have
the outside shower. The large table area is great for night time card
games and meals. Our dealer, Caps and Campers in Cicero, NY, includes
awning and screen room on every camper. We shopped around and found
this to be the best deal for our money. Unfortunately, Forest River
doesn't have a web site. (We almost bought the comparable Rockwood
model. But, we liked the Flagstaff dealer much better
