Question:
Our family is considering purchasing a folding tent trailer and I would
welcome any recommendations from the group on a good model.
Answer:
-Stay with a name brand that has a service center that is convenient to you.
Buy a used trailer first. You will limit your investment in case you should
decide that this type of camping is not for you.
Determine the max weight your tow vehicle can handle. Remember not to use
this weight fully for the trailer you may pull. You will have people and
some equipment in your vehicle along with gear stowed in your trailer.
Just some quick thoughts.
-I recently bought a Rockwood pop-up and am very satisfied. It
is a small one (17-ft open) but sleeps six and has a lot of extras
for the price $4200. I had never heard of Rockwood before and
was a little skepitcal, but now I'm sold! Try to find a local camping-
travel trailer show. They will have all the brands and types on
display for comparison.
