Lightweight travel trailers Aerolite, Jayco, Alumilite, Trail-Lite

Question:
We're considering buying a lightweight travel trailer, about 26'. We're looking at Aerolite, Jayco, Alumalite, Trail-Lite, and Dutchmen. We'd like comments, both positive and negative, from folks who already own one of these models. Any information would be appreciated.

Answer:
-We are also buying a lightweight TT. Here is what we found: Aerolite - Not bad. Some doors didn't seem to fit real well. A little plain inside. Jayco Lite Hawk - Very nice inside. Liked alot. 500-600 lbs heavier than other lightweights. Flagstaff - Low quality inside. Plain. Didn't seem very durable. Trail-lite - Good compromise of above. Not too plain. Very light. We were looking at 23-25 ft models. We finally settled on a 23 ft Trail-lite. When we ordered they said 5 1/2 weeks now (six weeks later) they are saying 11 1/2 weeks. If you buy a Trail-lite get it from a lot, don't order! Good luck Randy -We have an Alumalite fiver. Its a 29 and for a couple its just about perfect with a single slideout. We ordered it in 93 so we don't know how it will do long term. But, for the 5 years we have been using it it has done well. We had a refrigerator failure but that was blamed on Dometic, not on Holiday Rambler. Any other problems (all very minor) were taken care of under warranty. A very nice rig to tow, also. Good luck in your search for a trailer.
