Question:
I need a tent trailer that's lightweight enough that it won't slow
down my Toyota 4 cylinder truck too much. We only need it to sleep
two, with a possible third in the seats or on the floor. Coleman made
such a beast in the late 80s, but I haven't seen one lately, and their
Web site shows the big 'uns, only. Searching the Web turned up one
small trailer made by VenturCraft, but it's not sold anywhere close to
Albuquerque NM.
Answer:
It has been a couple of years sence I checked but then Viking made
such a trailer, although, even then it would depend how much weight
you added too the trailer in the way of food, clothing, pots and pans,
etc. So even if the trailer is towable, you would have to be aware of
the gross trailer weight and your vehicles max. tow weight when you
use it and pack accordingly.
