Question:
thought I'd try and pick some brains on the subject of where to rent a
small class C for a trip to Colorado. We live in southwest lower Michigan.
We have a pick-up camper and an old Class C Travette (never heard of it,
did'ya? ;. Of course, the group we're going with requires two more beds
than we can come up with on our own. So we're thinking of renting,
researching high and low, part of which is to ask for any personal
experiences from anyone near here. Price *is* an object, though we realize
it ain't gonna be cheap; however we don't need to pay for major bells and
whistles either.
Answer:
Probably should have mentioned the 77 year old mother who can no longer
sleep on the ground...(I generally backpack by preference, our little motor
home was for horse shows and my mom for camping - not big enough for all).
We are going to check and see if she can sleep on a folding cot - though
those are notorius for destroying your back.
It's my dearly beloved's idea, his money. His point is that hotel rooms are
going to run nearly as much, and less flexibility of when and where to stop,
packing and unpacking, etc. Just makes me cringe to spend more than
absolutely necessary, but like I said, I'm still of the if it won't fit in a
backpack it ain't going school.
