Question:
We are looking for a small pop up trailer or a "tear drop".
We will be pulling it in back country I.e Death Valley, small dirt roads or
ruts.
An old army tent trailer would do, light and small, just to get us out of
bad weather.
We have a 26' we pull with our Ram, this would allow us to get into the
interior.
Also if anyone knows a dealer somewhere that deals in this type of product.
All we can find in Las Vegas and surrounding areas, are large tent trailers
for big families.
Answer:
-I thought the TearDrop was kinda neat, because we only sleep in the rv
and do all our cooking outside. But then I started looking closer. Do
you have to crawl into the beds. Shoot- I might as well have a little
tent if I have to crawl into it. Also, didnt show other side of trailer
and if no windows would be pretty dark inside. I hate to pull my jeans
on inside it.
-I got my 'BarrTop' in Albuquerque way back in 1981. It's on it's 3rd
tent and 3rd truck now and doing fine. My truck is a 1991 Ford F150
Supercab with 6 ft bed. Now have 128,000 miles. Last summer's 2.5
month camping vacation put more than 13,000 miles on. Guess it's got a
couple more years left.
Got a post from a guy in Grants Pass, OR who said he got a 'Flip-Pac'
recently. I had seen some brochures a few years ago but they are only
sold on the west coast - I guess. Great for two people.
