Question:
Does anyone know if anyone makes a basic tent trailer.
Years ago we owned a Montgomery-Ward tent trailer. Basically it
consisted of a box trailer with a rear entrance. Two full size beds
pulled out at the sides, and a simple tent was erected over the beds and
interior of the trailer.
There was no other equipment except for a spare tire carried on the
tongue, and a canvas cover to keep the tent clean when it was folded
down for travel.
On the road, and at home, there was plenty of room to store an ice
chest, camp stove, lantern, and all the other equipment we needed. At
camp we unloaded most of the gear and had a large comfortable tent with
two full size beds.
It was simple and the price was very reasonable. Does anyone make such
tent trailer nowadays? Alternatively, does anyone make a trailer with
two double beds, some kind of covering, and no interior equipment?
Answer:
-I know just what you mean. We had a Sears camper, same thing. I had
bookmarked several with the tent like that, but all I seem to have left
is the lee-sure lite tent trailers. Here's the url:

-Here in Vancouver at Halifax Travelcamp Rentals
call 604-298-8813.
They rent out for $200 per week or sell for $1200 Cdn.
-Keep your eyes open for a used Apache Silver Eagle or Gold Eagle from
the mid-late '60s. Little if anything to go wrong, and repairs use
standard stuff. Replacement tents available.
