Question:
I am semi-retired now and after looking at the RV market I am leaning toward
a pop-up. I love the outdoors and I can't help feeling like a motor home or
trailer is like camping in a tin can. The motor home feels like I am driving
a building down the road. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone
can give me help with. First, most of my camping will be on the coast of
Oregon during the spring, summer, and fall. Is it a major problem dealing
with the rain and a pop up? Also, I am confused with the "roof sag problem"
with the Coleman's. Does this only happen when an air conditioner is
attached and if not what is the cause? Any advice will be appreciated.
Answer:
Have you considered a hard sided folding trailer? We thought for several
years we wanted a pop-up "tent" trailer, but hesitated because we too
live in Oregon and were wary of folding tent trailer when it's wet, and
then hoping for good weather at home to dry it out. So we finally went
with a Chalet.
Check it out at http://www.chaletrv.com
We've had ours since June and have camped 20 nights so far, and we love
it. Just perfect for the two of us. Light to tow too. Lighter than many
tent trailers. Lots of windows, especially with the skylight bubbles on
front and back. Doesn't feel like a "tin can".
BTW, the Chalet is made in Albany, so you'd be supporting an Oregon
business.
Anyway check it out - something to consider. We sure like ours!
If there is anything else you'd like to know about our Chalet, just ask.
