Question:
In July, my wife and I are planning to travel through former Eastern
Block contries via VW camper Van. While there are many sources of
travel information about the various places to visit, I haven't found
a lot of information about camping in this part of Europe.
I would appretiate any tips or observations about camping in this
area, camping in a VW van, or just simply being in the area.
I am Canadian and I am aware the Canada and the Czech Republic are
PO'd at each other at the moment and that getting a Visa is a
requirement for Canadian travellers.
If you have camped in a VW van before, I'd love to hear about how you
found it. Anything you wish you'd brought from home? Anything you
should have left behind? Anything you found you needed and were able
to buy? Anything about the van that you wish you knew before you
started out?
If you are also planning such a trip, I'd love to hear from you to
compare notes.
Answer:
-For Slovenia, check:

The phone numbers for camps in Bohinj are outdated (others seem OK). For
correct ones go to
http://www.bohinj.si/turizem/en/campi-en.htm
-Check the country's tourism-buro's in your country, Here in Holland they
were very helpful in providing information on campsites and other essential
info.
